April 2023 and much of what I was watching and listening to online (internet marketing) was concerning statistics, analysis of hits and conversions on web assets.
Whilst there was much specialised terminology used – eg A/B Split Testing – in the pursuit of optimising sales pages and their content…….
But there didn’t seem to be an overarching term for this practice……
But as it was (is?), in effect, digital eugenics…
and concerned the views of web assets (eg web pages, videos, images) – the word “vue” came to mind.
Thus vuegenics came to be added to my lexicon of the new web vocabulary.
